The Maid's Suite

The fabulous Maid's Suite consists of two adjoining bedrooms each with its own private bathroom . They can be rented separately, as they both have their own private entrance. Or they can be rented like adjoining hotel rooms with a locking door between them.

The Maid's Suite Front is perhaps the sweetest suite in my home as it has a New Orleans-style balcony with a valley view and a view over the north garden. Guests remark that it's like being in a tree house. It has a California King bed, sitting area, and a private bath with tub and shower.

The Maid's Suite Back is very charming. It has a California King bed, full bath and shower, a gracious sitting area, and French doors that lead to a private outside patio and garden with mountain, garden, and glorious night sky views.

The Front - $210

What we offer . . . and what we don't -

bullet A delectable breakfast buffet at 8:30, hot beverages at 6:30, complimentary homemade snacks and beverages always, and self-serve carryout!
bullet Private off-street parking and in-garage accommodations for motorcycles.
bullet Bathrooms are supplied with extra towels, toiletries, hair dryers and the like. If an iron, a wine glass, a bottle opener or anything else would make your stay more pleasant, just ask!
bullet Laundry service available on request.
bullet I am more than happy to arrange for flowers, wine or champagne in your rooms, massage (en suite and INCREDIBLE) you name what you want, provide a budget and we shall make it happen.
bullet We are NOT set up to offer cooking, food prep, assembly, or kitchen storage privileges.
bullet Sleeping and breakfast service for additional guests in your suite (space permitting) is available at $45 per person.  You may invite visitors to join you for breakfast at a cost of $17.50 each, with 12 hours notice.
bullet Gratuities are always appreciated - never expected.
bullet Years of experience reveal that pets (as much as I love them) don't mix well with two-legged guests. One never knows if the chemistry will work, and therefore, regrettably, we no longer accept pets. We do, however, have two resident felines who are not permitted in the sleeping suites.
bullet Please talk to me if you wish to bring children (kids are up to fifteen years of age). Because the Surgeon's House offers privacy and escape from the hustle bustle of the outside world, mixing adults seeking quiet with children's natural love of play may not make the ideal combination. However, if you wish to book all my rooms for a family reunion or multiple family or friend get together, children are more than welcome.
bullet We are pleased to greet you for check-in between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. at the red front door which faces my driveway and overlooks the Verde Valley. Check-in as early as 12:30 and checkout as late as 2 may be arranged in advance at an additional cost of $50 each.

bullet Eateries are all within a 5-minute saunter and only one accepts reservations. All serve until 8 OR 9 pm. Each is delish in its own right and I have their menus for your review once you arrive.
bullet Right smack dab here in Jerome we have perhaps the broadest expanse of creative energy imaginable in our shops and galleries every medium and field is represented.
bullet We offer two museums that specialize in the history of Jerome from the early wild west days, through the booms and the busts, up to the present day. Their coverage of the history is broad, detailed, and in depth. Well worth seeing.
bullet There are two fun and friendly bars in the downtown area, one of which provides music on the weekends and on some week nights.
bullet Depending on your skill levels and time you want to spend, there are hiking opportunities galore and the gentlemen at Ghost Town Gear are specialists in helping direct you most appropriately.
bullet Sedona Wine Adventures, 928-366-8476 are just now catering to and crafting crazy wonderful tours beginning and ending of course in Jerome at an incredible savings. Their tours can be personalized but typically include the full spectrum of tasting rooms including Jerome, Old Town Cottonwood and Page Springs Alcantera too.
bullet Verde Canyon Excursion Train   -   A trip on the Verde Canyon Railroad is also available. The four-hour scenic ride along the Verde River Canyon, aptly considered by many as Arizona's other Grand Canyon, takes you from past centuries, through a wildlife refuge, to a working ranch of today. You can reach them at 1-800-293-7245. We would also be happy to make the arrangements for you.
